The aim of the course is to obtain a CPL(H) and an IR(H)

Course Description

The objective of this integrated CPL(H)-IR course is to train the pilot to safely operate single pilot multi-engine helicopters and to obtain the Commercial Pilot license with Instrument Flight privileges on multi-engine helicopters.

Prerequisites
  • Pass the class 1 medical evaluation
  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Be in possession of the high school degree or equivalent
  • Students can start the course without previous experience or as holders of a PPL (H). Students who hold a PPL (H), will be credited as 50% of the corresponding experience, up to a maximum of:
    • 40 hours, of which up to 20 can be instruction in double command, or
    • 50 hours, of which up to 25 can be instruction in double command, if the night flight rating has been obtained by helicopter.

Course Duration

  • Duration between 9 and 30 months depending on the availability of the student
Course Structure

The course is composed of:

  • Instruction of theoretical knowledge: 500 hours.
  • Training with Helicopter Cabri G2: 130 hours
  • Twin-turbine Helicopter Training: 10 hours
  • Training in FNPT II Simulator: 40 hours

Upon completion of the instruction, the student will be required to take the CPL (H) proficiency test and the IR (H) proficiency test on an IFR homologated multi-engine helicopter.
